Jakrapob Penkair : ウィキペディア英語版 | Jakrapob Penkair Jakrapob Penkair ((タイ語:จักรภพ เพ็ญแข)) (born October 21, 1967) is a Thai political dissident in exile, founding member of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship, and former Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office under the premiership of Samak Sundaravej. Jakrapob resigned from that position following allegations of lèse majesté resulting from a contentious speech he gave at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand. ==Early career== Born in Bangkok to a middle-class family of five, Jakrapob was educated at Kasetsart University Laboratory School and Chulalongkorn University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science, before completing a master's degree at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies as a Fulbright scholar.〔(A Man Obsessed )〕 His return from the United States in 1994 was followed by a short stint at the Charoen Pokphand Group, after which he entered the foreign ministry’s information department, although he soon resigned following a dispute with his superiors.〔(Open Letter to Jakrapob Penkair )〕 He thereafter obtained employment as a news analyst at PTV.
